Central terraces have solid walls, suspended timber floors and very tight access, so pipe routes, boarding and waste removal are planned at survey rather than improvised. We survey before quoting so the pipework and boarding plan matches the house rather than a standard spec sheet.
Waterproofing done properly
Most failed bathrooms we are called to rescue failed at the waterproofing, not the tiles. Wet walls get cement or foam board, showers get two-coat tanking with taped joints, and wet rooms get full tanking with a linear drain set into a formed fall.
A written programme, not a vague promise
You get the day-by-day plan before we start: protection and strip-out, first fix, boarding and tanking, tiling, second fix, silicone and snagging. Most Cambridge bathrooms finish in eight to twelve working days.
